Chase leads, chase calls, chase sales.

Kinda desperate… and business is like dating - desperate ain’t attractive.

Fortunately I realised this (about business) early on and took a different route:

  1. Build credibility.

  2. Let people research me first.

  3. Then let them arrive ready to buy.

I pulled back. Not in a ‘hard to get’ way, but in a self assured confident way.

Because the truth is, their mind is 90% made up by the time you talk to them.

I focused on touchpoints 1-9. Not touchpoint 10.

→ Where they discover you
→ The way they discover you
→ What your profile says about you
→ What others say about you
→ The expertise you show in your content
→ The personality you have online
→ The exchanges you have via email
→ The credibility you demonstrate
→ The reminder you give them when they forgot about you

That creates REPUTATION. And that’s the most valuable asset you have.
