The Lighthouse Strategy To Grow Your Business Faster

This alone got me 2 direct leads this week (and I didn't do anything...)

DENNIS YU IS A LEGEND

The Guy Who Built Yahoo

I had a few visitors from the US this week, all very inspiring. One of which was Dennis Yu, who mentored me 4 years ago when I was launching my personal branding agency. He played a big part in building the search engine, Yahoo, back in the 00s. Now runs a company called Blitzmetrics and speaks on stages all around the world.

We recorded the first episode for the upcoming Success Clues pod, which I can’t wait to share with you.

One of the gems he dropped was around the Lighthouse Strategy - which is one of the reasons he’s on stages all round the world nowadays.

HOW DENNIS BUILT A GLOBAL PERSONAL BRAND

Why You Should Build Lighthouses

By sharing your message online over and over for a years on end, you will build an audience and grow your business. The only thing between you and a wildly successful business is time.

But you will be starting from scratch with one voice - your own.

So what if we could multiply your voice and accelerate that timeline?

Well, there are hundreds, more likely thousands, or people who also serve your audience, who already have some following and authority, that could help you scale your authority and audience faster.

Imagine if you had 100 people promoting you to their audience - do you think you’d ever struggle for clients again?

Well this is one of the strategies Dennis and I both use, because other people become our promoters - or lighthouses.

After we met, Dennis posted this on LinkedIn - performance wasn’t even that good and it still got 2 quality leads in my inbox, who had never heard of me before but now trust me.

You can scale your authority, reach more people and win clients with ease this way.

(Plus leads generated through referrals convert at 3-5x the rate of any other channel.)

So how do you get ‘Lighthouses’ to promote you?
